JV Head Coach

Ben Simula, an alumnus of Grand Rapids High School, is entering his 8th year on staff for the Thunderhawks. Ben is currently the Varsity offensive and defensive line coach and serves as the JV head coach.

Coach Simula, a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, is a Physical Education teacher at East Rapids Elementary. Coach Simula also serves as the Director of Athletic Performance at Grand Rapids High School and coaches the Rapids shot and discus athletes in the spring.

He and his wife, Kirby, have two daughters and reside in Grand Rapids.
